Fried Rice
By Alan Kirke
Ok it is food week and as that is one of the things that I most commonly fill out on any Bio's that I fill out online. I thought it only appropriate that I write a little about my favorite dish ....drum roll please "Fried Rice" very simple to make and absolutely delicious. With fresh ingredients and none of this frozen crap in a box, Geez you may as well just eat the bloody box as well. So here it is Fresh chicken and prawns cooked separately so as not to take over the flavour of the rice. Corn cut of the cob, fresh peas if possible, organic carrot cut very finely and chunky onions fried. Rice of course, for flavour garlic a good Soya sauce, a touch of sesame oil, a good low flavour olive oil not heated extremely hot pre fry the vege's, scramble 2-3 eggs cook flat and cut up. Rice that was pre cooked the night before and put in fridge (tip do not cook rice all the way through about 3/4 cooked) Fry rice in oil and garlic, Soya sauce, chilli and extra flavour add a cube of chicken stock ,good quality stock. Add in veges chicken and prawns and egg at the end. Add anything else that you like eg bacon, beef, red roast pork, other veges etc. Eat straight away

I think the problem I have with cooking fried rice is boiling the water for the rice
